Why is the pointer not moving?

It may be because the soil for the test is too dry, it is recommended to give the soil some water first and then test it again.

Can I just keep sticking it in the soil to test for changes?

We do not recommend leaving the soil tester in the soil for long periods of time as this can damage its electrode sensing. Use it when you need to test and when you are done using it wipe it clean before placing it.

Does this test for light?

Our soil meter cannot be tested for light. Our soil meter is a 3-in-1 tester for PH, soil fertility and moisture.

How do I charge this?

Our soil meters do not require batteries, they are plug and play.
